Emmanuel Christian School, Leicester, has grown out of a vision given by God to a number of people.
In November 2001, the need and desire for a Christian School was expressed by some parents. A small group of people started to meet together to pray and seek God’s will and a public meeting was subsequently arranged in January 2002. As a result of this meeting, a Steering Committee was set up under the heading of 'Leicester and Leicestershire Christian School Project'. The Steering Committee met regularly and further public meetings were held.
If you would like to enrol your son/daughter to Emmanuel Christian School then we strongly recommend that you get in touch to arrange a walk around of the school.
We can then give you application forms to apply for your child/children.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Leaders demonstrate good knowledge of statutory safeguarding requirements, implementing policies effectively and providing training that clarifies staff roles in child protection.
Leaders effectively identify students with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) and those with English as an additional language (EAL). Suitable strategies, including effective use of learning support assistants, are in place to help these students access the curriculum and make progress.
The school's leadership has created an environment rooted in Christian values and principles, which shapes the school’s aims and ethos.
The school’s behaviour policy is consistently and fairly implemented, promoting good behaviour. Pupils understand expectations well, and the school’s strong stance against bullying fosters a secure and respectful environment.
Positive relationships between teachers and students contribute to a sense of self-worth and confidence in students. Teachers listen to students, respect their opinions, and support a culture of mutual respect and understanding.
Safeguarding is a strong focus, with regular, effective staff training. Leaders and staff exhibit an awareness of local safeguarding issues and are vigilant in protecting students.
PSHE and citizenship curriculum prepares students for life in British society. It instils an understanding of British values, including tolerance and acceptance, and students are described as kind, considerate, and supportive of each other.
The school encourages community service and engagement. Activities like Christmas visits to local care homes, community service events, and inviting local residents to school events help develop students' sense of social responsibility and understanding of societal contribution
Leaders have ensured that they communicate the needs of all pupils, including those with EHC plans, to staff effectively.
Pupils are acquiring new knowledge and making good progress
There is now a more robust culture of safeguarding in the school.
To recognise that parents are entrusted with the responsibility of raising children in God’s way and seek to support parents in that task.
To seek to provide a Christian, God-centred education.
To provide a truly balanced education for pupils, aiding the development of each child’s potential to the full, academically, physically, socially and spiritually.
